A MailPoet email integration manages forms, lists, and emails inside WordPress. Each signup still needs a promise the visitor understands and a list your team can explain.

An email form should do more than collect an address. The visitor needs to know what they will receive, and your team needs to know which list the address enters, when a message sends, and how a subscriber can change their mind. We map that workflow in the context of your website and the other tools you use.

## Design the promise before the form.

What are people signing up for: a monthly note, product updates, new articles, or something else? Put that answer beside the email field. Then decide where the form belongs and what happens after someone submits it. A contact request and a marketing subscription serve different purposes. Do not collapse them into one action simply because both ask for an email address.

MailPoet’s [form editor documentation](https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/297-create-a-subscription-form-with-our-editor) explains how a subscription form can add a person to a chosen list and show a message or redirect after signup. That capability does not choose the right audience or message for you. The list structure should reflect what people actually requested, not every internal segment a team might eventually want.

## Make consent visible throughout the path.

The visitor should understand the subscription before submitting, recognize the confirmation email, and know how to manage or leave the list. If you use MailPoet Sending Service, its [signup confirmation guidance](https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/137-the-signup-confirmation-tab) says confirmation is required. The exact flow and legal obligations depend on your sending setup, audience, and policies, which the business should determine with qualified advice where necessary.

For a welcome sequence, decide what the first email should help someone do. A concise orientation may be more useful than a five-message sales series. If content is triggered by a new post or purchase, test that trigger with the same care as a form. MailPoet distinguishes newsletters, welcome emails, post notifications, and WooCommerce emails in its [feature overview](https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/132-mailpoet-plugin-feature-overview).

## Keep the list usable.

Know who owns the MailPoet account, who can edit forms, and how the team will review failed sends or unusual signups. If you import an existing list, check the provenance of those addresses and the permission to contact them before moving data. Test a real signup from the page, confirm the subscriber status, and inspect the message on a phone. A form that renders correctly can still send someone to the wrong list.

If your WordPress website also uses a CRM or store, define which system owns the subscriber record. Syncing every field in both directions can create conflicts that a simple, one-way handoff avoids.

## Show us the journey your MailPoet email integration should support.

Tell us what you want subscribers to receive and where your current form or list process gets confusing. We can help scope a clearer signup and follow-up path.

The build

## Building MailPoet, and the friction that comes with it.

### How Scayver builds it.

Scayver installs MailPoet, configures a reliable sending method or connects a dedicated sending service, and sets up lists, signup forms, and automations. We verify domain authentication with SPF and DKIM so emails land in the inbox.

### What goes wrong in practice.

Sending through default WordPress mail hurts deliverability. Missing SPF and DKIM records send mail to spam. Large sends can strain shared hosting without a proper sending service.

FAQ

## Questions about MailPoet

The things people ask on the first call. If yours is not here, ask us directly.

[Ask us directly](https://scayverstaging.1wp.site/talk-to-a-specialist/?form=book)

**Is a MailPoet form the same as a contact form?**

No. A subscription form enrolls someone in a defined email program. A contact form starts a direct inquiry, and the two should have different expectations.

**Can we send a welcome email after signup?**

MailPoet supports welcome emails. The timing and eligibility should be tested against your confirmation settings and list design.

**Can an existing list be imported?**

The platform supports imports, but your business must establish that the addresses and intended messages fit the permission you have.
