# Does this location need its own page?

> Decide when a city or service-area local page has enough genuine local value to stand alone instead of repeating a location template.

Give a location its own local page when it helps people there make a real service decision better than a regional page could.

## Start with the actual service relationship.

If the only difference is the city name, keep the information together until you have something useful and accurate to add.

Can the business serve people in this location? How does that work? Does the team travel, work remotely, operate a staffed location, or serve the area through another arrangement? The answer determines what you can say. A page should not imply an office, a local team, or a delivery capability that is not real.

For Scayver Graphix, many digital services can be discussed remotely, but the exact project scope and delivery relationship still matter. A local page should explain which services fit that audience, what information you need to plan the work, and which industries or business conditions make the work different there.

## Identify the local decision.

A city page can be useful when it addresses a real market condition or customer question. A coastal hospitality business may need booking and campaign decisions shaped by seasonal demand. A multi-location clinic may need separate location content, appointment paths, and careful review of regulated claims. Those examples show decision types, not claims about every business in a city.

Ask what a visitor would learn on this page that they would not learn on a nearby city page. If you cannot answer, one regional page may be the better destination. Google’s [spam policies](https://developers.google.com/search/docs/essentials/spam-policies) warn against scaled content built mainly to manipulate rankings. Location names cannot substitute for substantive differences.

## Consider proof and upkeep.

Location pages often need more maintenance than a general service page. The business may change coverage, hours, phone routes, project examples, or local requirements. Decide who will verify those details and how often. Never borrow a nearby city’s testimonial or imply a local customer result without permission.

A useful page may include the service relationship, a localized customer scenario, links to relevant services, practical questions, and a contact path. It does not need a fabricated office address, fake map, or unsupported “best in” claim.

## Compare local page options.

If one state page can answer the shared question and a few city sections add useful distinctions, use that structure. If a city has its own audience, relevant service mix, verified operations, and distinct customer questions, a dedicated route can earn its place. If the business cannot provide either, do not add a page only to fill a sitemap.

A clear [local SEO](https://scayverstaging.1wp.site/services/optimization/local-seo/) strategy includes page selection, accurate business information, content, and maintenance. It does not begin with the number of city names available.

## Test three proposed city pages before publishing.

Choose three proposed city pages. For each, write the service relationship, local decision, unique information, and owner responsible for updates. Publish only the pages that pass that test and give every visitor a truthful path to ask about their project.
