## Verify the page’s job.

A fluent draft can still be wrong, repetitive, or too generic to help anyone.

Before line editing, write the audience, question, decision, and next action. If the draft cannot be matched to those four items, rewrite the structure. A page that tries to cover every service and every audience will usually answer none of them well.

Compare the draft with existing pages. If it repeats a published article with a new title, it adds little value and may confuse the site’s topic map. Keep one clear owner for the primary question and use links for adjacent answers.

## Inspect claims sentence by sentence.

Highlight numbers, prices, tool capabilities, local facts, legal or medical language, customer outcomes, and statements about search engines. Trace each to a primary or approved internal source. Check whether the source supports the exact wording, not just the general topic. Remove invented examples that sound like client work.

Google’s [guidance on generative AI content](https://developers.google.com/search/docs/fundamentals/using-gen-ai-content) says such tools can help research and structure content, while scaled pages without added value may violate spam policy. The useful distinction is the final page’s accuracy and value, not whether a tool touched a draft.

## Add what the team actually knows.

Ask the person who delivers the service what choices they make, what input they request, and where projects commonly differ. Those details give the page a point of view rooted in work. An AI tool cannot verify a customer’s outcome or invent permission to publish it.

Replace generic phrases with decision criteria and concrete examples. If a paragraph says “we provide seamless solutions,” ask what happens, what connects, and what the customer can inspect afterward.

## Read AI-assisted website content like a buyer.

Check the title and first paragraph, scan the headings, then follow the links. Can someone tell whether the information fits their situation? Does the CTA describe the action accurately? Does the linked [website copywriting service](https://scayverstaging.1wp.site/services/copywriting/website-copywriting/) continue the same conversation?

Read aloud for repeated sentence shapes and polished filler. Shorten where the answer is clear. Add detail only where it helps a real decision.

## Test the scenario, not just the grammar.

Ask the reviewer to trace each scenario through the page. If the draft describes a restaurant booking process, are the steps realistic for a restaurant? Does the CTA lead to a service that can address the issue? Does the example imply software, staffing, or compliance capabilities the business has not confirmed? A draft can pass a spelling check while failing the customer’s real workflow. Make the delivery expert review the scenario before the editor polishes its sentences.

## Run a three-column review on one draft.

Take one AI-assisted draft and run a three-column review: claim and source, customer usefulness, and brand voice. Assign one human owner to resolve every failure before publication. If the team needs a repeatable standard, [content strategy](https://scayverstaging.1wp.site/services/marketing/content-strategy/) can define the briefing and review workflow.
